Sagna's first game of the 2010 World Cup (France -v- Uruguay) was an eventful episode for him considering the game finished 0-0. The game wasn't full of many chances, but two of France's best chances both came from crosses into the penalty box from Bacary Sagna. Firstly to Nicholas Anelka, and then 15 minutes later to replacement Thierry Henry.

On the 81st minute, Sagna suffered a painful tackle from Lodeiro who was shown a red card to become the first player to get sent-off during the world cup.

After watching the tackle on YouTube Bacary can count himself lucky he was not seriously injured.

France's next game is against Mexico on Thursday 17th June at 8.30pm GMT or 7.30pm (British Summer Time)
