13th Jun 2010 Sagna and the team visit the Dam-Bos neighbourhood

This Sunday afternoon, Bacary Sagna and the rest of the French squad went to Dam-Bos, a poor neighborhood in the hills of Knysna (local to their World Cup base camp).

The team met with a local youth club and signed shirts and gave away autographs. It was a magical afternoon for the children, their teachers and parents. After the World Cup, the FFF are to renovate the local terrain and help with the development of football in Knysna.

Florent Malouda quoted: "It's a great initiative, the most important thing when we leave is what will happen afterwards. I thank the Federation deeply for their contribution towards improving the facilities as it will bring new hopes to the youth of Dam-Bos. This is something that will remain etched in our memories."
